The music is extremely physical, gesticulative and visual in some way, while firmly anchored in the acoustics and their shades, as well as the tranquillity and focused listening. It all exquisitely pours into an intense and uniform sound entity of convergences and divergences, which spread, condense and dilute, come together and move apart in a common sonic space, in a game of sounds and their dissections, noise, pulses and rhythming, constantly moving between them. After more than 20 years of meetings and separations, concentrated into this in-between space of convergences and divergences, the resulting music is not what I would have expected, despite knowing them both. To be able to honestly reflect your emotions, your own individuality, their way of being and their respective personalities, the formula of the duo, for Andrea Massaria and Tanja Feichtmair proved to be particularly adequate and opportune.
This their new project arises from the need to unite these personalities through sound, both very strong and at the same time extremely collaborative, open and creative. The two musicians in fact, within the duo, express themselves in a very free way, using and combining various languages and improvisational techniques and creating always different and stimulating musical situations. Very careful to explore sound original and modern also through the use of effects and electronics, they move under the banner of experimentation linked to the search for ever new soundscapes, leading the public into the world of creative improvisation, electronics and research and giving life to performances always multiform and full of surprises. The imaginative and stimulating sax of Tanja Feichtmair combined with sensitivity and refinement of Andrea Massaria's guitar, the care of overall sound, the continuous research of interplay and unconventional use of the instruments played are some of the most salient features of the duo.
