Alberto Pérez-Gómez has lectured extensively around the world and is the author of numerous articles published in major periodicals and books. Born 1949 in Mexico Citiy he graduated as an engineer and architect from the National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico and pursued graduate studies in the History and Theory of Architecture at the University of Essex where he received his Master of Arts in 1975 and Ph.D. in 1979.
